In the fifteen plus years our Executive Director—Bill Philson—has been helping to steer the Mercer County Historical Society (MCHS). Many things have changed, but our main mission has remained the same—to protect and preserve the history of Mercer County.
The Mission of the Mercer County Historical Society is to collect and preserve artifacts, manuscripts, published materials and records relating to Mercer County’s pre-history and history and to use these to increase public awareness and appreciation for Mercer County’s heritage.
