THE BOMB: THE ENOLA GAY & HIROSHIMA—AUGUST 6, 1945

MCHS “HISTORY IN THE MAKING” DISCUSSION GROUP

On Tuesday, January 19, 2016, the Mercer County Historical Society is proud to present the first part of a two part series on the Atomic Bomb in World War II, the US military, Hiroshima, and the war effort. Come and see the end of an age—and the beginning of another!

History in the Making Discussion Group is part of the Historical Society’s ongoing efforts to provide programming related to local and world history—it seems the faster world events occur in the modern world, the smaller the world becomes. The roundtable meets on the third Tuesday of each month from September through May. Participation in the discussion group is open to the public and is free. The Historical Society’s headquarters is at 119 South Pitt Street, Mercer. For further information, please call the Historical Society at 724-662-3490.
