MCHS Annual Dinner

The Mercer County Historical Society is announcing that its Annual Dinner will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2015. Our program will be on the Monuments of the Battle of Gettysburg. This program will be put on by Bill May.
The evening will begin at 5:30 PM in the Library of the MCHS with snacks and a tour of our refurbished library and galleries. We will then proceed to the Social Hall of the Helen Black Miller Memorial Chapel where dinner will be served at 6:00. It will include salad, stuffed chicken breast, glazed carrots, smashed red-skin potatoes, and a cookie display for dessert. Music will be provided for this event by the Grove City College String Quartet—featuring Johanna Sufferin, Sarah Lapp, David Cosgrove, and Madison Bower.
After dinner, a short business meeting to elect our Board of Directors and the Executive Committee will be held. If you are interested in either area, please contact us in advance.
Finally, the program, the Monuments of Gettysburg, will occur. Bill May is a well known local historian and educator who is known for this presentation in particular and many others.
The cost of this event will be $12.00 per person. Tickets are available at the MCHS Headquarters NOW, or by mail—119 South Pitt Street, Mercer, PA 16137 (please include a self addressed stamped envelope so we can mail your tickets to you.) Our phone number is 724-662-3490. All are invited!
