History in the Making Roundtable

Mercer County Historical Society’s History in the Making Roundtable will look at the African-American Involvement on “D-Day”

On Tuesday, October 15, 2019, the Mercer County Historical Society (119 South Pitt Street, Mercer, PA) will look at the African-American involvement during “D-Day” during World War II at a time when the American Army was totally segregated. The program will be presented by David James. The doors open at 6:30 PM; the program starts at 7:00, and should end around 9:00. Please join us. This event is FREE and open to the public.
The Modern History/History in the Making Discussion Group is part of the Mercer County Historical Society’s ongoing efforts to provide programming related to local history. This roundtable meets on the third Tuesday of each month from September through May. Participation in the discussion group is open to the public and is FREE.
