MCHS CIVIL WAR ROUNDTABLE—FREEMAN McGILVERY . . . THE OTHER MAINE MAN WHO SAVED MEADE AT GETTYSBURG

On Tuesday, January 12, 2016, the Mercer County Historical Society is proud to present a program on an individual soldier, Freeman McGilvery . . . the other Maine Man Who Saved Meade during the Battle of Gettysburg. The moderator will be James Carnes. The doors open at 6:30 PM; the program starts at 7:00, and should end around 9:00. Come and learn about another soldier who changed the course of American history. Please join us.

The Civil War Discussion Group is part of the Historical Society’s ongoing efforts to provide programming related to local history. The MCHS Roundtable meets on the second Tuesday of each month from September through May. Participation in the discussion group is open to the public and is free.
