Civil War Roundtable

Mercer County Historical Society is Proud to Announce the Continuation of the Civil War Roundtable

On Tuesday, September 11, 2018, (the second Tuesday of each month excluding June, July, and August) the Mercer County Historical Society (119 South Pitt Street, Mercer, PA) will present another season of its Civil War Roundtable starting with a program on the Brickyard at Gettysburg. This would be at the beginning of the Battle of Gettysburg on July 1, 1863, when the Union forces were being pushed out of the town of Gettysburg. This program will be presented by James Carnes and will be enlightening. The doors open at 6:30 PM; the program starts at 7:00, and should end around 9:00. Please join us. This event is FREE and open to the public.
The Civil War Discussion Group is part of the Mercer County Historical Society’s ongoing efforts to provide programming related to local history. The roundtable meets on the second Tuesday of each month from September through May. Participation in the discussion group is open to the public and is free. The Historical Society’s headquarters is at 119 South Pitt Street, Mercer.
