Civil War Roundtable

Generals Robert E. Lee and Ulysses S. Grant—Compare and Contrast
On Tuesday, December 10, 2019, the Mercer County Historical Society (119 South Pitt Street, Mercer, PA) will present a program comparing and contrasting the two generals that led the final campaigns of the American Civil War—Robert E. Lee and Ulysses S, Grant.
Jim Carnes will conduct and moderate the program. The doors open about 6:30 P.M. The program starts at 7:00 P.M. and should end sometime around 9:00. Come, enjoy yourself, and learn something new!
The Civil War Discussion Group is part of the Mercer County Historical Society’s ongoing efforts to provide programming related to local history. This roundtable meets on the second Tuesday of each month from September through May. Participation in the discussion group is open to the public and is free.
