Annual Christmas Concert and Dinner

On Saturday, December 9, 2017, the Mercer County Historical Society will be offering its Annual Christmas Concert and Dinner. We will be starting at 5:00 PM in the Library of the Anderson Building of the Mercer County Historical Society and moving to the Social Hall (basement) of the Helen Black Miller Memorial Hall for the dinner at 6:00. At about 7:30 we will proceed upstairs to the sanctuary and listen to the concert and sing “our” Christmas Carols. At about 8:30 we will return downstairs and conclude our evening with a cookie and punch reception Please place your reservations for the meal at the MCHS—stop in or call 724-662-3490. The Open House is free as is the concert. The meal will be a classic Turkey Christmas Dinner. The cost for the meal is $12.00. Come and enjoy! Civil War Roundtable Bloody Spring: Grant vs. Lee This months Civil War Roundtable will feature the epic struggle between General U.S. Grant and General R. E. Lee. Jim Carnes will conduct and moderate the program. This program will take place on Tuesday, December 12. The program starts at 7:00 P.M. and should end sometime around 9:00. Come, enjoy yourself, and learn something new! The Civil War Discussion Group is part of the Mercer County Historical Society’s ongoing efforts to provide programming related to local history. Holiday Hours

The Mercer County Historical Society will be closed from, December 23, 2017, through January 1, 2017, due to the Christmas and New Year Holidays. We will resume our normal schedule on January 2, 2018. Our normal schedule is Tuesday through Friday: 10:00 until 4:30 and Saturday from 10:00 until 3:00. We are closed on Sundays, Mondays, and holidays.
